Abstract

This community service activity aims to raise students’ awareness of the dangers of drug abuse and to reinforce early prevention behaviors within the school environment. The activity was held on August 14, 2026, at SMK Negeri 1 Seberida, involving seven student representatives from grades 10 and 11 as participants, as well as a guest speaker from the Seberida Police Precinct (Polsek). A participatory outreach approach was used, which included preparation, presentation of materials, discussion, and evaluation through observation and brief interviews. The results showed that participants were actively engaged in the discussion and demonstrated an increased understanding of the legal, health, and social consequences of drug abuse, as well as ways to resist peer pressure. This activity strengthened collaboration between the school and local law enforcement, although its impact on long-term behavioral change cannot yet be measured quantitatively. The program’s sustainability requires periodic follow-ups, integration of the material into the school’s guidance and counseling program, and ongoing monitoring by teachers and parents.
